Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Study Of Rippled Sand And Rocks With Worm Casts, Hebrides by Boyle Family was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2017. The price achieved of GBP 11,875.00 (€ 13,479.89) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Boyle Family have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hansard Mews in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 55,200.00 (€ 81,984.74).
