In July 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work Study For The Fire Series With Blackened Sandstone by Boyle Family. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 27,500.00 (€ 34,939.06), 53% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Boyle Family - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hansard Mews, which sold at auction in July 2007 for GBP 55,200.00 (€ 81,984.74).

Im Juli 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Study For The Fire Series With Blackened Sandstone von Boyle Family zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 27.500,00 (€ 34.939,06) und damit 53% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Boyle Family mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Hansard Mews beobachtet, die im Juli 2007 für GBP 55.200,00 (€ 81.984,74) versteigert wurde.
