Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

It achieved a price of GBP 9,375.00 (€ 10,642.02), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. Admittedly, works by Boris Orlov have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work General in October 2019 with an auction result of USD 100,000.00 (€ 89,645.90).

Die Arbeit Untitled, From The Contours Of Time Series von Boris Orlov wurde im November 2017 in der Auktion Russian Pictures bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 10.642,02) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Boris Orlov auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit General im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 100.000,00 (€ 89.645,90).
