Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Owl by Boris Orlov was auctioned at Sothebys in London in October 2020. The price achieved of GBP 15,120.00 (€ 16,789.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Boris Orlov have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work General in October 2019 with an auction result of USD 100,000.00 (€ 89,645.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Owl von Boris Orlov kam im Oktober 2020 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 15.120,00 (€ 16.789,47) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Boris Orlov auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit General im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 100.000,00 (€ 89.645,90).
