Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Rostral Column by Boris Orlov was sold in the Russian Pictures auction at Sothebys in London in June 2020. The price achieved of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 4,818.30) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Boris Orlov achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work General in October 2019 with an auction result of USD 100,000.00 (€ 89,645.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Rostral Column von Boris Orlov wurde im Juni 2020 in der Auktion Russian Pictures bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.375,00 (€ 4.818,30) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Boris Orlov erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit General im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 100.000,00 (€ 89.645,90).
