Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Three-Headed Totem by Boris Orlov was sold in the Escape Artists – The Non-Conformists Online auction at Sothebys in London in September 2021. It changed hands for a price of GBP 18,900.00 (€ 21,990.41) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Boris Orlov have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work General in October 2019 with an auction result of USD 100,000.00 (€ 89,645.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Three-Headed Totem von Boris Orlov wurde im September 2021 in der Auktion Escape Artists – The Non-Conformists Online bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 18.900,00 (€ 21.990,41) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Boris Orlov auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit General im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 100.000,00 (€ 89.645,90).
