Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Pictures, which included the work The Joy of Victory by Boris Orlov. The price achieved of GBP 3,528.00 (€ 3,941.09) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Boris Orlov achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work General in October 2019 with an auction result of USD 100,000.00 (€ 89,645.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Joy of Victory von Boris Orlov zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.528,00 (€ 3.941,09) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Boris Orlov erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit General im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 100.000,00 (€ 89.645,90).
