Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Imperator by Boris Orlov was sold in the Russian Art Day Sale auction at Sothebys in London in June 2014. The price achieved of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 31,236.30) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Boris Orlov - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work General, which sold at auction in October 2019 for USD 100,000.00 (€ 89,645.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Imperator von Boris Orlov wurde im Juni 2014 in der Auktion Russian Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 31.236,30) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Boris Orlov mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit General beobachtet, die im Oktober 2019 für USD 100.000,00 (€ 89.645,90) versteigert wurde.
