Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2011 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Paintings, which included the work Imperator Ii by Boris Orlov. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 50,000.00 – 70,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 51,650.00 (€ 60,296.09) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Boris Orlov have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2019 the work General was auctioned for USD 100,000.00 (€ 89,645.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2011 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Russian Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Imperator Ii von Boris Orlov zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 51.650,00 (€ 60.296,09) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Boris Orlov konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Oktober 2019 die Arbeit General für USD 100.000,00 (€ 89.645,90) versteigert.
