Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2007 Sothebys in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary Russian Art, which included the work Iconostasis In Imperial Style by Boris Orlov. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 40,800.00 (€ 60,484.54) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Boris Orlov have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2019 the work General was auctioned for USD 100,000.00 (€ 89,645.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2007 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Russian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Iconostasis In Imperial Style von Boris Orlov zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 40.800,00 (€ 60.484,54) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Boris Orlov konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Oktober 2019 die Arbeit General für USD 100.000,00 (€ 89.645,90) versteigert.
