In November 2012 Christies in London held the auction Important Russian Art, which included the work Excessive architecture by Boris Orlov. The result of GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,463.80) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Boris Orlov achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work General in October 2019 with an auction result of USD 100,000.00 (€ 89,645.90).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im November 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion Important Russian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Excessive architecture von Boris Orlov zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 2.000,00 (€ 2.463,80) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Boris Orlov erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit General im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 100.000,00 (€ 89.645,90).
