Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Study For The Blessing Of The Waters On The Epiphany by Boris Kustodiev was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2016. The price achieved of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,424.63) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Boris Kustodiev achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Coachman in November 2012 with an auction result of GBP 4,409,250.00 (€ 5,431,748.64).

Die Arbeit Study For The Blessing Of The Waters On The Epiphany von Boris Kustodiev kam im November 2016 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.424,63) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Boris Kustodiev erzielen.
