Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2015 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Pictures, which included the work On The Riverbank (Spring) by Boris Kustodiev. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 42,500.00 (€ 59,924.47) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Boris Kustodiev achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Coachman in November 2012 with an auction result of GBP 4,409,250.00 (€ 5,431,748.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2015 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit On The Riverbank (Spring) von Boris Kustodiev zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 42.500,00 (€ 59.924,47) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Boris Kustodiev erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Coachman im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.409.250,00 (€ 5.431.748,64).
