Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2014 Sothebys in London held the auction Important Russian Art, which included the work Bakhchisarai by Boris Kustodiev. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,200,000.00 – 1,800,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,258,500.00 (€ 1,582,281.96) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Boris Kustodiev - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Coachman, which sold at auction in November 2012 for GBP 4,409,250.00 (€ 5,431,748.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2014 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Important Russian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bakhchisarai von Boris Kustodiev zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.200.000,00 – 1.800.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.258.500,00 (€ 1.582.281,96) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Boris Kustodiev mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Coachman beobachtet, die im November 2012 für GBP 4.409.250,00 (€ 5.431.748,64) versteigert wurde.
