Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Boris Lovet-Lorski could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in March 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Prints & Multiples auction, the work Lithographs Volume I: one plate; and Lithographs Volume II: two plates changed hands for USD 1,134.00 (€ 965.68) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,800.00 – 2,400.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Boris Lovet-Lorski achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Standing Horses: A Pair of Works in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 324,500.00 (€ 278,063.41).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Boris Lovet-Lorski konnte im März 2021 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Prints & Multiples wechselte die Arbeit Lithographs Volume I: one plate; and Lithographs Volume II: two plates für USD 1.134,00 (€ 965,68) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.800,00 – 2.400,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Boris Lovet-Lorski erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Standing Horses: A Pair of Works im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 324.500,00 (€ 278.063,41).
