Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Stallion by Boris Lovet-Lorski was sold in the American Art auction at Christies in New York in May 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 81,250.00 (€ 72,876.49) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Boris Lovet-Lorski - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Standing Horses: A Pair of Works, which sold at auction in May 2018 for USD 324,500.00 (€ 278,063.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Stallion von Boris Lovet-Lorski wurde im Mai 2019 in der Auktion American Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 81.250,00 (€ 72.876,49) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Boris Lovet-Lorski mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Standing Horses: A Pair of Works beobachtet, die im Mai 2018 für USD 324.500,00 (€ 278.063,41) versteigert wurde.
