Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A street in Staraya Russa by Boris Kustodiev was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 20,000.00 – 3,000,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 60,000.00 (€ 72,019.58) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Boris Kustodiev achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Coachman in November 2012 with an auction result of GBP 4,409,250.00 (€ 5,431,748.64).

Die Arbeit A street in Staraya Russa von Boris Kustodiev kam im Juni 2016 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 3.000.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 60.000,00 (€ 72.019,58) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Boris Kustodiev erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Coachman im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.409.250,00 (€ 5.431.748,64).
