In November 2015 Christies in London held the auction Russian Art, which included the work A Merchant by Boris Kustodiev. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 25,000.00 (€ 35,608.79), 67% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Boris Kustodiev achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Coachman in November 2012 with an auction result of GBP 4,409,250.00 (€ 5,431,748.64).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 67 % übertroffen
Im November 2015 führte Christies in London die Auktion Russian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Merchant von Boris Kustodiev zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 35.608,79) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Boris Kustodiev erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Coachman im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.409.250,00 (€ 5.431.748,64).
