The work Village de Poujal-sur-Orb (Hérault) by Blanche Hoschedé-Monet was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2021. The »bidding war« ended at USD 35,280.00 (€ 30,474.22), 18% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Blanche Hoschedé-Monet have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work L'Étang Du Jardin De Claude Monet in February 2015 with an auction result of GBP 125,000.00 (€ 172,356.43).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Village de Poujal-sur-Orb (Hérault) von Blanche Hoschedé-Monet wurde im September 2021 in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 35.280,00 (€ 30.474,22) und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Blanche Hoschedé-Monet auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit L'Étang Du Jardin De Claude Monet im Februar 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 125.000,00 (€ 172.356,43).
