Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2019 Phillips in New York held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session, which included the work Cover Letter by Blake Rayne. It changed hands for a price of USD 18,750.00 (€ 16,817.65) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Blake Rayne - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled #3, which sold at auction in July 2015 for GBP 25,000.00 (€ 35,441.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2019 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cover Letter von Blake Rayne zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 16.817,65) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Blake Rayne mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled #3 beobachtet, die im Juli 2015 für GBP 25.000,00 (€ 35.441,60) versteigert wurde.
