Sold at the lower estimate price
In October 2016 Christies in London held the auction First Open | Editions, which included the work Rink I by Bill Jacklin. The result of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,785.08) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bill Jacklin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Black Umbrella, Times Square III in December 2011 with an auction result of GBP 32,450.00 (€ 38,863.46).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Oktober 2016 führte Christies in London die Auktion First Open | Editions durch, in der auch die Arbeit Rink I von Bill Jacklin zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 2.500,00 (€ 2.785,08) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bill Jacklin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Black Umbrella, Times Square III im Dezember 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 32.450,00 (€ 38.863,46).
