Auction result well in line with expectations
In July last year Bonhams in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Fat Man at the Bar by Bill Jacklin. The price achieved of GBP 1,785.00 (€ 2,131.61) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bill Jacklin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Black Umbrella, Times Square III in December 2011 with an auction result of GBP 32,450.00 (€ 38,863.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fat Man at the Bar von Bill Jacklin zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.785,00 (€ 2.131,61) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bill Jacklin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Black Umbrella, Times Square III im Dezember 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 32.450,00 (€ 38.863,46).
