Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Temple Visit) by Bikash Bhattacharjee was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2019. The price achieved of USD 37,500.00 (€ 34,387.90) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Bikash Bhattacharjee have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Red Balloon in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 102,000.00 (€ 150,099.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Temple Visit) von Bikash Bhattacharjee kam im September 2019 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 37.500,00 (€ 34.387,90) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bikash Bhattacharjee auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Red Balloon im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 102.000,00 (€ 150.099,90).
