Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Doll 2 by Bikash Bhattacharjee was auctioned at Christies in New York in September last year. The price achieved of USD 16,380.00 (€ 16,743.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Bikash Bhattacharjee have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Red Balloon in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 102,000.00 (€ 150,099.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Doll 2 von Bikash Bhattacharjee kam im September letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 16.380,00 (€ 16.743,33) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bikash Bhattacharjee auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Red Balloon im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 102.000,00 (€ 150.099,90).
