It achieved a price of GBP 7,200.00 (€ 10,440.92), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 44%. Admittedly, works by Bae Bien-U have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sonamu SNM3A-004 & Sonamu SNM3A-002 in May 2007 with an auction result of HKD 1,080,000.00 (€ 102,838.03).

Die Arbeit Meeting and Departure (Pine tree series) von Bae Bien-U kam im Februar 2005 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 7.200,00 (€ 10.440,92) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 44%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bae Bien-U auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sonamu SNM3A-004 & Sonamu SNM3A-002 im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.080.000,00 (€ 102.838,03).
