Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy, which included the work Lotus Root And Seedpods by Bian Shoumin. The »bidding war« ended at USD 9,375.00 (€ 8,596.97), 17% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bian Shoumin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Album of Geese and Other Subjects in June this year with an auction result of HKD 1,260,000.00 (€ 147,230.77).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lotus Root And Seedpods von Bian Shoumin zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 9.375,00 (€ 8.596,97) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bian Shoumin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Album of Geese and Other Subjects im Juni diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.260.000,00 (€ 147.230,77).
