Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Bian Shoumin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2021. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction, the work Geese sold for HKD 403,200.00 (€ 44,850.42) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bian Shoumin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Album of Geese and Other Subjects, which sold at auction in June this year for HKD 1,260,000.00 (€ 147,230.77).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Bian Shoumin erzielte im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Geese für HKD 403.200,00 (€ 44.850,42) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 150.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Bian Shoumin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Album of Geese and Other Subjects beobachtet, die im Juni diesen Jahres für HKD 1.260.000,00 (€ 147.230,77) versteigert wurde.
