Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2019 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings, which included the work Geese And Various Subjects by Bian Shoumin. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 200,000.00 – 400,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 250,000.00 (€ 28,574.63) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Bian Shoumin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Album of Geese and Other Subjects in June this year with an auction result of HKD 1,260,000.00 (€ 147,230.77).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2019 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Geese And Various Subjects von Bian Shoumin zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 200.000,00 – 400.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 250.000,00 (€ 28.574,63) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bian Shoumin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Album of Geese and Other Subjects im Juni diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.260.000,00 (€ 147.230,77).
