The work Wild Goose and Reed by Bian Shoumin was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy II auction at POLY in October 2019. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 165,200.00 (€ 18,882.12), 38% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Bian Shoumin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Album of Geese and Other Subjects in June this year with an auction result of HKD 1,260,000.00 (€ 147,230.77).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 38 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Wild Goose and Reed von Bian Shoumin wurde im Oktober 2019 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy II bei POLY versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 165.200,00 (€ 18.882,12) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bian Shoumin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Album of Geese and Other Subjects im Juni diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.260.000,00 (€ 147.230,77).
