The work Fish by Bian Shoumin was worth HKD 175,000.00 (€ 20,028.70) to a buyer in May 2019. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy Including Property from the Chokaido Museum Collection at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 30,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Bian Shoumin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Album of Geese and Other Subjects in June this year with an auction result of HKD 1,260,000.00 (€ 147,230.77).

Die Arbeit Fish von Bian Shoumin war einem Käufer im Mai 2019 HKD 175.000,00 (€ 20.028,70) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy Including Property from the Chokaido Museum Collection bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 30.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bian Shoumin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Album of Geese and Other Subjects im Juni diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.260.000,00 (€ 147.230,77).
