Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Movie by Bernhard Martin was auctioned at Sothebys in London in September 2017, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,217.92). Other works by Bernhard Martin have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in December 2016 by the work „Abströmen“. at EUR 12,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Movie von Bernhard Martin im September 2017 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.217,92) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Bernhard Martin wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Dezember 2016 die Arbeit „Abströmen“. mit EUR 12.500,00.
