Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work The Madonna and Child enthroned with Saints Francis and Mary Magdalen and a female donor by Bernardo Daddi was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2011, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 400,000.00 – 600,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 385,250.00 (€ 442,132.01). Admittedly, works by Bernardo Daddi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Madonna And Child Enthroned With Saints in April 2016 with an auction result of USD 3,861,000.00 (€ 3,374,705.01).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit The Madonna and Child enthroned with Saints Francis and Mary Magdalen and a female donor von Bernardo Daddi im Juli 2011 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 400.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 385.250,00 (€ 442.132,01) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bernardo Daddi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Madonna And Child Enthroned With Saints im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.861.000,00 (€ 3.374.705,01).
