It achieved a price of GBP 1,512.00 (€ 1,667.23), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 26%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bernard Meadows achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Startled Bird in November 2013 with an auction result of GBP 134,500.00 (€ 161,852.75).

Die Arbeit Untitled (Two Cocks) von Bernard Meadows kam im September 2020 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 1.512,00 (€ 1.667,23) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 26%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bernard Meadows erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Startled Bird im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 134.500,00 (€ 161.852,75).
