Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fish Relief by Bernard Meadows was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2021. The price achieved of GBP 3,528.00 (€ 4,142.20) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bernard Meadows achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Startled Bird in November 2013 with an auction result of GBP 134,500.00 (€ 161,852.75).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Fish Relief von Bernard Meadows kam im November 2021 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.528,00 (€ 4.142,20) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bernard Meadows erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Startled Bird im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 134.500,00 (€ 161.852,75).
