In the The Collection of Sir Nicholas Goodison - British Art: Innovation and Craftsmanship auction, the work Seated Figure (Cross-legged) sold for GBP 22,680.00 (€ 26,680.86) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Bernard Meadows have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Startled Bird in November 2013 with an auction result of GBP 134,500.00 (€ 161,852.75).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Bernard Meadows erzielte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Collection of Sir Nicholas Goodison - British Art: Innovation and Craftsmanship wurde die Arbeit Seated Figure (Cross-legged) für GBP 22.680,00 (€ 26.680,86) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bernard Meadows auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Startled Bird im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 134.500,00 (€ 161.852,75).
