Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Bernard Leach achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in September 2017. In the Made in Britain auction, the work Vase With 'Leaping Fish' Design sold for GBP 11,875.00 (€ 13,472.34) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bernard Leach - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Vase With 'Leaping Fish' Design, which sold at auction in November 2016 for GBP 32,500.00 (€ 38,346.80).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Bernard Leach erzielte im September 2017 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Made in Britain wurde die Arbeit Vase With 'Leaping Fish' Design für GBP 11.875,00 (€ 13.472,34) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Bernard Leach mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Vase With 'Leaping Fish' Design beobachtet, die im November 2016 für GBP 32.500,00 (€ 38.346,80) versteigert wurde.
