Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2012 Christies in London held the auction Victorian & British Impressionist Art, which included the work A Connoisseur's Collection: Still life with a cello, violin, oranges, a lemon and a pineapple on table covered with a Persian carpet by Benjamin Walter Spiers. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,187.50 (€ 1,512.56) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Benjamin Walter Spiers achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Un po' di Roma in February 2007 with an auction result of GBP 38,400.00 (€ 56,926.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian & British Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Connoisseur's Collection: Still life with a cello, violin, oranges, a lemon and a pineapple on table covered with a Persian carpet von Benjamin Walter Spiers zur Versteigerung kam.
