Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Reflections by Benjamin Walter Spiers was sold in the Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite and British Impressionist Art auction at Christies in London in December 2016. The price achieved of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 21,921.79) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Benjamin Walter Spiers - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Un po' di Roma, which sold at auction in February 2007 for GBP 38,400.00 (€ 56,926.62).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 21.921,79) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden.
