Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 16,800.00 (€ 24,930.36) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Benjamin Walter Spiers - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Un po' di Roma, which sold at auction in February 2007 for GBP 38,400.00 (€ 56,926.62).

Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 16.800,00 (€ 24.930,36) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
