It achieved a price of HKD 500,000.00 (€ 52,086.70), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. Admittedly, works by Benedicto Reyes Cabrera have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Sabel) in October 2020 with an auction result of HKD 2,772,000.00 (€ 307,021.55).

Die Arbeit Yellow Confetti von Benedicto Reyes Cabrera wurde im Mai 2012 in der Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 500.000,00 (€ 52.086,70) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Benedicto Reyes Cabrera auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Sabel) im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.772.000,00 (€ 307.021,55).
