This artwork by Benedicto Reyes Cabrera achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2016. In the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction, the work Japanese Sabel sold for HKD 22,500.00 (€ 2,534.96) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Benedicto Reyes Cabrera achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Sabel) in October 2020 with an auction result of HKD 2,772,000.00 (€ 307,021.55).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Benedicto Reyes Cabrera erzielte im April 2016 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art wurde die Arbeit Japanese Sabel für HKD 22.500,00 (€ 2.534,96) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Benedicto Reyes Cabrera erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Sabel) im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.772.000,00 (€ 307.021,55).
