This artwork by Benedicto Reyes Cabrera achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2018. In the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction, the work Shapes And Squares sold for HKD 500,000.00 (€ 52,757.99) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 250,000.00. Admittedly, works by Benedicto Reyes Cabrera have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Sabel) in October 2020 with an auction result of HKD 2,772,000.00 (€ 307,021.55).

In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art wurde die Arbeit Shapes And Squares für HKD 500.000,00 (€ 52.757,99) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 250.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Benedicto Reyes Cabrera auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Sabel) im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.772.000,00 (€ 307.021,55).
