Upper estimate price exceeded by 26 %.
In May last year Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern Art Online, which included the work Mother and child by Benedicto Reyes Cabrera. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 75,600.00 (€ 8,975.34), 26% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Benedicto Reyes Cabrera achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Sabel) in October 2020 with an auction result of HKD 2,772,000.00 (€ 307,021.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 26 % übertroffen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mother and child von Benedicto Reyes Cabrera zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 75.600,00 (€ 8.975,34) und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Benedicto Reyes Cabrera erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Sabel) im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.772.000,00 (€ 307.021,55).
