Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Benedicto Reyes Cabrera achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2021. In the Modern Art Day Sale auction, the work Squares And Figures sold for HKD 403,200.00 (€ 43,168.88) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 180,000.00. Admittedly, works by Benedicto Reyes Cabrera have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Sabel) in October 2020 with an auction result of HKD 2,772,000.00 (€ 307,021.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Benedicto Reyes Cabrera erzielte im April 2021 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Squares And Figures für HKD 403.200,00 (€ 43.168,88) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 180.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Benedicto Reyes Cabrera auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Sabel) im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.772.000,00 (€ 307.021,55).
