Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Woman Eating by Benedicto Reyes Cabrera was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 8,750.00 (€ 1,022.23) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Benedicto Reyes Cabrera achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Sabel) in October 2020 with an auction result of HKD 2,772,000.00 (€ 307,021.55).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Woman Eating von Benedicto Reyes Cabrera wurde im Oktober 2015 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 8.750,00 (€ 1.022,23) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Benedicto Reyes Cabrera erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Sabel) im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.772.000,00 (€ 307.021,55).
