Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Painter And Model by Benedicto Reyes Cabrera was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2015. The price achieved of HKD 60,000.00 (€ 7,009.60) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Benedicto Reyes Cabrera achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Sabel) in October 2020 with an auction result of HKD 2,772,000.00 (€ 307,021.55).
