This price was achieved in the auction Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Art at Sothebys in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Benedicto Reyes Cabrera have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Sabel) in October 2020 with an auction result of HKD 2,772,000.00 (€ 307,021.55).

Die Arbeit Nine Figure Studies von Benedicto Reyes Cabrera war einem Käufer im April 2015 HKD 500.000,00 (€ 57.785,34) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Benedicto Reyes Cabrera auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Sabel) im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.772.000,00 (€ 307.021,55).
