A top price for Ben Johnson
In July 2007 Sothebys in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work Staats by Ben Johnson. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 10,800.00 (€ 16,040.49), 54% above the upper estimate. This high result makes Staats the most expensive artwork by Ben Johnson that we have observed at auctions so far.
