Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Avenida Brasil (Brazil Avenue) by Beatriz Milhazes was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2021. The price achieved of GBP 742,500.00 (€ 872,246.23) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 650,000.00 – 950,000.00. Other works by Beatriz Milhazes have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2012 the work Meu Limão was auctioned for USD 2,098,500.00 (€ 1,612,990.01).
