Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2008 Phillips in New York held the auction Saturday@Phillips, which included the work Mickey Mouse by Bäst. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of USD 813.00 (€ 641.07) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Bäst have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Shaney, 2011 in October 2020 with an auction result of GBP 2,550.00 (€ 2,831.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2008 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Saturday@Phillips durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mickey Mouse von Bäst zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 813,00 (€ 641,07) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bäst auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Shaney, 2011 im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.550,00 (€ 2.831,56).
